Hardwood

 Hardwood
I'pe - a quality wood that always looks good.

Appearance
An extremely dense, tight grained hardwood. A magnificent hardwood look generally a deep rich brown with some pieces displaying red and amber hues, and if left natural the sun will transform the wood from its original reddish brown to a beautiful silver patina.

Excellent durability
I'pe is one of the hardest woods on earth, three times harder than oak and eight times harder than redwood and other soft woods and has the highest rating for insect, (termite), and decay resistance.
Environmental impact
I’Pe is an environmentally responsible choice of decking material, as it is naturally resistant to rot, decay, mould and insects without the use of toxic chemicals. Thus we are able to use this near water without worry of potential contamination.
It is only harvested from sustainable forests, additionally it is a very strong, dense wood, which has high wear durability, thus reducing the need for replacement.
Benefits
I'pe pronounced ee-pay, an exotic wood species is a unique decking material that brings warmth and beauty of indoor hardwoods to the outdoors.
I'pe has been tested and rated fire-resistant without any additional treatment - same as concrete and steel. Due to its hardness and natural ability to resist decay, I'pe provides superior service when used for decking, patios, piers / boat docks, outdoor furniture, walkways, poolside benches and decks. Weathering will have little or no effect upon the structural integrity of I’Pe.
Due to the density of the wood, I'pe will not cup, bow, twist, shrink, splinter, etc.
